Our Fears and the films that plays on them

In class, we shared our experiences with different fears. Almost every fear we had stars in movies. For example, the most classic fear is darkness. Thrillers therefore, tend to have dark, blinding atmosphere to them just to build us tension.

However, we discovered that as we grow up, our fears tend to change. Parents' fears focus mostly on the well being of their children. There are particular thrillers that play on that fear such as; Prisoners and Orphan.

The fears of the society as a whole is also different. We are scared of anything that disrupts the equilibrium of our world. We are afraid of sudden changes such as dooms day and revolutions. Humans are also scared of diseases, which, subsequently created the Zombie Apocalypse genre.

But... What about it?
